Kenya Defense Force (KDF) soldiers serving under African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) celebrated their country’s Independence Day on December 12.
On Saturday, Kenya celebrated its 57th Jamhuri Day.
In Somalia, KDF soldiers commemorated the occasion by holding joint prayers while honoring those who sacrificed their lives and resources to fight for independence.
Eventually, they also cut a cake to celebrate the auspicious occasion when their country attained independence from the British colonialists.
