Maj. Gen. Gerbi Kebede Regassa, the new Deputy Force Commander of African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) in charge of Support and Logistics, visited Ethiopian troops on January 22.
The new Deputy Force Commander visited AMISOM’s troops from the Ethiopian National Defense Forces (ENDF) based in Baidoa.
Maj. Gen. Regassa visited the troops as part of his familiarization tour to meet with different contingents.
The ENDF contingent is based in Baidoa, the administrative capital of the Southwest State.
During the Wednesday visit, Maj. Gen. Regassa held meetings with various commanders from AMISOM to discuss issues pertinent to the region.
