African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) has launched repair works on different roads in Dhobley Town.
AMISOM’s Sector Two unit, which comprises soldiers from the Kenya Defense Forces (KDF), is in charge of the project.
The troops are currently working on the 5-kilometer road linking Dhobley town with Dhobley Airstrip.
Additionally, they are also working on the airstrip, which needs plenty of renovation to make it safe and usable for all.
The repair works are designed to accommodate the growing interest and demand for air travel.
According to AMISOM, the repairs and renovation work would go a long way to easing the movement of goods and people into and out of Dhobley.
