Anti-corruption charges have been filed against seven officials of Somalia’s immigration agency.
The Office of the Attorney General issued a statement on Sunday naming the seven officials of the Immigration and Naturalization Directorate (IND).
They include current and former employees of the organization.
In an interesting development, all seven are currently out of the country.
Attorney General Suleyman Mohamed Mohamud named them as Osman Hassan Cosoble, Mohamed Ahmed, and Abdikafi Hassan Mohamed.
Others include Mohamed Hussein Nageye, Abdihakim Abdullahi Abdi, Abdalla Mohamed Ahmed, and Mohamed Ibrahim Ahmed.
The Attorney General confirmed that his office filed the charges against them at a Benadir court.
