The Arab League has expressed solidarity with Somalia in the wake of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that Ethiopia signed with Somaliland on Monday this week.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Arab League rejected the agreement that Ethiopia and Somaliland penned.
It called the MoU a violation of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Somalia.
Furthermore, it hit out at Ethiopia for seeking an agreement that seeks to capitalize on the internal situation facing Somalia.
It supports Somali cabinet ministers who termed the MoU “null, void, and unacceptable.”
