The African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) and the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) will work together to enhance the stabilization process in Somalia.
ATMIS Head Souef Mohamed El-Amine and Rainer Frauenfeld agreed on this when they met on Tuesday.
Frauenfeld is the UNOPS Director of the Kenya Multi-Country Office.
They pledged to lead their respective nations in working closely together to support the ongoing stabilization process in the country.
Frauenfeld also took the opportunity to introduce El-Amine, who is also the Special Representative of the Chairperson of the AU Commission (SRCC), to Ala’a Nemer.
Nemer is the new UNOPS Country Director to Somalia.
