ATMIS Commander Hails Troops for Driving out Al-Shabaab from Ali Fordhele Forest

An African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS commander commended his troops for driving Al-Shabaab fighters out of Ali Fordhele forest.

Lt. Gen. Sam Okiding, ATMIS force commander, expressed gratitude to his troops for the amazing achievement.

ATMIS troops, working closely with the Somali National Army (SNA), successfully fought and forced the terrorists out of the forest.

Over the years, Al-Shabaab has continuously used the forest to launch strategic terror attacks.

Lt. Gen. Okiding added that tons of concealed weapons, which included vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices (VBIEDs), were captured from the terrorists in the forest.
