On Friday, the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) hosted a year-end ceremony at its headquarters in Mogadishu.
The purpose of the event was to celebrate the contributions of its personnel in advancing the mission’s objectives.
Ambassador Souef Mohamed El-Amine, Special Representative of the Chairperson of the African Union Commission (SRCC) and Head of ATMIS, commended the staff for their significant role in Somalia’s peacebuilding efforts.
The event was attended by key ATMIS officials.
These included Deputy SRCC Sivuyile Bam, Force Commander Lt. Gen. Sam Kavuma, Deputy Force Commander Maj. Gen. Marius Ngendabanka, as well as United Nations representatives and diplomats.
