The Head of the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) held talks on political stability in the country with a European diplomat.
Souef Mohamed El-Asmine, who also serves as the Special Representative of the AU Commission Chairperson (SRCC), met with Valentin Zellweger, the Swiss Ambassador to Somalia.
Their discussions on Thursday focused on the stability as well as security situation of the East African nation.
Furthermore, they discussed the progress made on Somali Transitional Plan (STP).
Talks between El-Asmine and Amb. Zellweger touched on the ongoing drawdown of ATMIS troops and the recently updated mandate of the organization.
