The African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) held a 2-day training for its officers on child protection.
ATMIS held the training for its officers from the Ethiopian National Defense Force (ENDF).
The training, which takes place in Baidoa from Friday, has attracted 30 ENDF soldiers.
ATMIS Protection, Human Rights, and Gender Division organized the training.
Some of the topics that ENDF soldiers will be trained on include prioritizing child protection and children’s rights.
Brig. Gen. Besfat Fent Tegegn, the ATMIS Sector 3 Commander, presided over the opening ceremony of the training.
