African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) launched a mentorship program for Somali doctors at a hospital in Dhobley.
The training kicked off on June 18.
ATMIS personnel, led by Brig. Jattani Gula, launched the training, which kicked off on Saturday at Dhobley’s Level II Hospital.
While launching the course, Brig. Gula said that its aim is to model the appropriate medical knowledge and skills to the local doctors.
Brig. Gula, who is ATMIS’ Sector II Commander, expressed hope that local hospitals would benefit from enhanced service delivery at the end of the course.
