The African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) offered training on strategic communication capacity building to federal and regional government officials.
ATMIS provided the training to senior communication officials serving in the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) and all Federal Member States (FMS).
The organization said that the training, which took place on December 2, was part of its mandate in Somalia.
Yusuf Omar Al-Adala, the Deputy Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, expressed gratitude to ATMIS for the training.
The training, which runs for the next four days, focuses on the harmonization and strengthening of public communication systems around the country.
Gift Bingley, ATMIS Senior Public Information Officer, said that the training proves that the organization remains committed to implementing the Somali Transition Plan (STP) fully.
