Police officers from the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) visited the headquarters of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Mogadishu.
The ATMIS officers were at the CID offices on Saturday.
CID is a department of the Somali Police Force (SPF).
The ATMIS delegation evaluated service delivery at the CID head offices. They also assisted their Somali colleagues in developing departmental standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Lt. Col. Abdirizak Mohamed Omar, the Acting Director of CID, expressed gratitude to the visitors.
Specifically, he thanked them for the support they continue to extend to ensure that professionalism reigns within SPF.
