ATMIS Works Closely with SNA to Liberate Aboorey Village from Al-Shabaab

The African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) worked closely with Somali National Army (SNA) to liberate yet another Hiiraan village from Al-Shabaab.

ATMIS issued a report providing details of the joint operation it conducted with SNA forces to recapture Aboorey village in Hiiraan from the terrorists.

The report shows that ATMIS has teamed up with SNA to provide residents of Aboorey village with security as they go about their daily activities.

Moreover, ATMIS and SNA forces are securing critical infrastructure in the village.

In Aboorey, critical infrastructure includes roads and water sources.

ATMIS commended the incredible work SNA and other Somali security agencies have put in while fighting Al-Shabaab terrorists too.

“Somali security forces have proved their increasing capabilities to not only attack but also win and hold ground in the newly liberated places,” the ATMIS statement read.

ATMIS reiterated its overwhelming belief that SNA is now capable of leading successful anti-terror operations anywhere in Somalia.
