The Office of the Auditor-General has questioned concession deals that Somalia signed with two Turkish firms.
Auditor-General Mohamed Ali Afgoi spoke about the concession deals in the Annual Audit Report for 2021 that his office prepared.
In the report, the Auditor-General spoke of concession fees of up to $28,380,031.
He said that his office is unable to ascertain independently whether the fees are stated fairly.
Afgoi also red-flagged $16.9 million paid to three institutions that include the Banadir Regional Administration (BRA).
