Beldamin, Somalia – The African Union Support and Stabilization Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM) Force Commander Lt. Gen. Sam Kavuma visited Somali National Armed Forces (SNAF) and AUSSOM bases in Beldamin, Janaale, Buufow, and KM 67 to assess troop readiness and morale.
During the tour, Lt. Gen. Kavuma emphasized the importance of continued vigilance in the fight against Al-Shabaab and praised the progress made by the troops.
He commended the Ugandan Contingent Commander, Brig. Gen. Joseph Musoke Ssemwanga, for his effective leadership in degrading terrorist operations in the region.
The visit reflects AUSSOM’s commitment to strengthening frontline coordination and enhancing operational effectiveness in Somalia.
