Daud Aweis has traveled to Arusha in Tanzania to present his country’s ratification of the Treaty of Accession of the East African Community (EAC).
Aweis, the Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, traveled to the EAC Secretariat on Monday.
The minister is scheduled to present the ratification to Dr. Peter Mutuku Mathuki, the EAC Secretary-General.
Thereafter, Mathuki will lead the regional economic bloc in submitting the treaty to the United Nations and the African Union.
