Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre chaired the first Sub-Committee meeting on food security and nutrition.
The Prime Minister chaired the meeting that took place on Wednesday.
Members of the sub-committee received a report providing details of the current situation in Somalia regarding food security and nutrition.
Barre reminded members of the sub-committee of the importance of food security.
He mentioned that Somalia needs to be as food secure as possible.
Prime Minister Barre urged the members of the sub-committee to put more emphasis on addressing the nutrition needs of the people of Somalia too.
