Barre Holds Talks with KOICA President on Developing Skills of Somali Youth

Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre held talks with the President of KOICA in Seoul, South Korea.

The Prime Minister is currently in Seoul attending the maiden Korea-Africa Summit together with more than 20 Heads of State and Government from the African continent.

Barre’s meeting with Chang Won, the KOICA President, took place on Wednesday.

They discussed the socio-economic development of Somalia together with the advancement of the skills of Somali youth.

The KOICA President promised to support TVET programs in Somalia.

In his view, the TVET programs are crucial for Somali youth, who make up roughly 70 percent of the population of the East African nation.
