Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre stated that Somalia’s economy grew by as much as 25 percent despite the multiple crises it endured.
Barre commended the measures that the government had instituted to revive the country’s economy.
For decades, the Somali economy was in the doldrums.
The Prime Minister was speaking at a function that Jubba Valley Institute organized in Kismayo on Wednesday night.
During his town hall meeting, he answered several questions by members of the public.
“Our domestic income has risen by as much as 25 percent,” Prime Minister Barre said.
