Mohamed Beenebeene launched the high-level GIS meeting in Mogadishu on Tuesday.
Beenebeene, the Minister of Planning, Investment, and Economic Development, welcomed participants to the GIS event.
He reminded participants of the importance of the event they are attending in the nation’s capital.
In his speech, Beenebeene stated that the goal of the event is to enhance collaboration and the exchange of data between the federal government and relevant international agencies.
Specifically, the focus will be on GIS issues to improve planning.
