Dr. Abdirahman Belieh has traveled to the United States for a meeting with the officials of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Dr. Beileh, Somalia’s Minister of Finance, held talks with senior officials from the two global financial institutions.
Beileh’s meetings with the senior World Bank and IMF officials are part of the annual discussions Somalia holds with them.
During their April 18 meeting, Dr. Beileh and the officials from the two organizations also discussed economic reforms in Somalia.
