Beledweyne Airport Gets a New Terminal

Ugas Khalif International Airport in Beledweyne received a new terminal on October 18.

Duran Ahmed Farah, Somalia’s Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, cut the ribbon to signify the official opening of the facility.

Governor Ali Jeyte Osman joined Farah in cutting the ribbon.

The two leaders declared that the new terminal and airport is now ready to receive visitors from all parts of the world.

Ahmed Hassan Maalim, the Director of the Somali Civil Aviation Authority, attended the inauguration ceremony too.

Other senior government officials were at the function as well.

Local officials representing the Hiiran regional administration expressed delight at the latest development at the airport.
