Beledweyne is at high risk of experiencing floods in the next 2-3 days.
The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) issued this alert jointly with the Somalia Water and Land Information Management (SWALIM).
The alert, posted via FAO SWALIM Flood Alert, urges residents to be cautious.
It added that several other parts of Somalia are at risk of heavy rains. The rains are expected in Gedo, Mudug, Middle Jubba, Bakool, and Bay.
A high flood risk alert has been issued for Bardhere, Dolow, and Luq districts too.
These alerts were issued on Friday, November 3.
