The residents of Benadir have been encouraged to be vigilant ahead of the upcoming El Nino rains.
El Nino rains are expected in the Horn of Africa region from October 2023.
They are scheduled to last for a couple of months.
Yusuf Hussein Jimaale, the Governor of Benadir Region, issued this call to his residents on Saturday.
There are fears that El Nino rains could disrupt life and cause wanton destruction.
