Nicolas Berlanga has called for increased support for the new European Union Ambassador to Somalia.
Berlanga is the immediate former EU Ambassador to Somalia. He finished his tenure in August 2021 after three years of service.
His replacement is Tiina Intelmann.
On September 11, Berlanga issued a rallying call to all Somalis. He encouraged them to support Ambassador Intelmann to improve Somalia-EU relations.
The EU has a solid presence in Somalia. It has invested in various projects around the country, including in security, health, and education.
Berlanga expressed hope that the EU would not stop igniting hope in the East African nation.
