President Muse Bihi Abdi of Somaliland visited the country’s largest stadium on Saturday, November 14.
The inspection tour was necessitated by the fracas that took place on Friday.
There was uproar around the country from traditional media after several casualties were reported on Friday.
Casualties were recorded during the ongoing football tournaments taking place at the Hargeisa Stadium.
Bihi promised that the tournaments would proceed on schedule despite the ruckus Friday’s incident has created.
The President visited the stadium as part of his inspection tours he carried out on multiple government institutions over the weekend.
Several traditional leaders and local politicians were at the facility to welcome President Bihi.
