On Tuesday, President Muse Bihi Abdi launched the second phase of Somaliland Development Fund Projects.
He launched the projects in Hargeisa.
Several top government officers attended the ceremony. These included Hassan Mohamed Ali Gafadhi, the Minister of Planning and National Development.
Representatives from the country’s international development partners were also present.
Najah Adam, the Deputy Team Leader of Somaliland Development Funds and other top officials attended the launching ceremony too.
According to Najah, some of the projects targeted during the second phase include construction of fishing jet in Maydh.
Further, the funds would also support the rehabilitation of Berbera-Burao Road, which is nearing completion.
While launching the funds, Bihi expressed gratitude to the United Kingdom, Netherlands, Denmark and other international partners for supporting development projects in the country.
