President Muse Bihi Abdi has mourned the death of a veteran Somaliland journalist.
Bihi said that death had robbed the country of a dedicated citizen, human rights activist, former assistant minister, and journalist.
He was speaking about the death of Shukri Harir Ismael who lost her life on January 16, 2021.
In his message of condolence, Bihi said that Ismael had played a crucial role in the development of the media industry in Somaliland.
He also mentioned that her contributions in advocating for the rights of Somaliland women and children would remain her legacy.
President Bihi prayed that Allah would comfort Ismael’s family, friends, and colleagues, as the country prepares to lay her to rest.
