President Muse Bihi Abdi has commended the development of women’s education in the breakaway region of Somaliland.
Bihi was speaking during the recent graduation ceremony at Barwaaqo University.
President Bihi was the Chief Guest during the graduation ceremony of the only all-female university in Somaliland.
Barwaaqo was established to change the trajectory of opportunities that are available to young Somali women from all over the country.
On August 21, the university graduated its first batch of students.
President Bihi expressed his admiration at the amazing work that the university’s management is carrying out to benefit female students.
He castigated those opposed to such institutions in the country.
