President Muse Bihi Abdi has sacked two provincial governors in the latest round of the reshuffles he continues to conduct on senior officers of his administration.
The President has already undertaken a similar exercise against cabinet ministers and close allies after losing the recent parliamentary elections to the opposition.
Provincial governors from Sanaag, Hawd, and Marodi Jeeh have been relieved of their duties.
President Bihi has already appointed new governors to replace those he sent packing.
Mohamed Elmi Ahmed is the new Governor of Marodi Jeeh. Mohamed Elmi Hussein takes over as the Governor of Sanaag while Ahmed Yaasin will be the new Governor of Hawd.
