President Muse Bihi Abdi embarked on a tour of the eastern provinces of Somaliland on Sunday, October 18.
Bihi is scheduled to kick off his tour of the region by inspecting the ongoing works at Berbera Port.
As he traveled along the streets of Berbera town, huge crowds thronged the roadside to accord him a rousing welcome.
Bihi visited the port to check the progress of the expansion program that is currently underway, which nears completion.
Afterward, he toured several important places in the town.
He visited a few government offices followed by a tour of Berbera International Airport.
Currently, Bihi’s administration awarded DP World the tender to manage and operate the Port of Berbera.
Thereafter, Bihi traveled from Berbera to Buroa, where he was the Guest of Honor at University of Buroa’s graduation ceremony.
While in Buroa, Bihi inaugurated a large state-of-the-art shopping mall.
President Bihi is scheduled to proceed with his visit of the eastern provinces where he would be inspecting several development projects.
