The Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Somalia held its ordinary meeting in Mogadishu on October 5-6, 2024.
The board met at the bank’s headquarters in the capital city.
A key policy endorsed during this meeting was the implementation of a comprehensive IT security framework, designed to move the Central Bank toward ISO 27001 compliance for its information security management system.
This step is expected to enhance the bank’s cybersecurity protocols.
Consequently, it will ensure a more robust protection of data and improving the overall integrity of financial operations within Somalia.
