Bomb Blast in Mogadishu Kills Three People and Injures Several Others

A bomb blast in Mogadishu has left three people dead and several others nursing various types of injuries.

Security officers confirmed that the blast, which occurred early on Thursday morning, is the latest in a series of violent attacks in Somalia’s capital city.

Ismael Mukhtaar, a spokesperson for the Federal Government of Somalia, confirmed the incident to the media and the public.

He said that a mother and her young child were among the three people who died during the deadly incident.

Mukhtaar also confirmed that several pedestrians were injured when a tuktuk ran over landmines planted along Abdikasim Road in Mogadishu.

Security forces have since secured the scene of the crime and commenced investigations to identify the group or individuals responsible for the heinous crime.
