Residents of Bosaso in Puntland State have fled the town over fears of worsening clashes.
On December 23, hundreds of residents were seen fleeing Puntland’s commercial town fearing the worst.
Clashes broke out in the town on Tuesday this week.
The clashes were between regional forces and the Puntland Security Forice (PSF).
Close to 20 people lost their lives while dozens more are nursing injuries that they sustained during the clashes.
Some of the residents who spoke to the media said they fear that the clashes, which took a temporary break on Thursday, could resume any time.
