Brazil Donates PPEs to Somalia’s Health Ministry

The Brazilian government has donated personal protective equipment (PPE) to Somalia to help the East African country to fight against COVID-19.

On January 29, Brazil delivered these supplies in conjunction with the World Food Program (WFP) in Somalia.

The United Nations agency collaborated with Brazilian authorities to deliver the supplies.

It handed the equipment over to Somalia’s Ministry of Health.

Representatives from Somalia’s health ministry were on hand to receive the equipment on behalf of the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS).

WFP stated that it not only procured but also distributed the PPEs.

Officials from the Embassy of Brazil in Kenya attended the Friday ceremony virtually.
