Brig. Gen. Anthony Lukwago Mbuusi has assumed control of the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) Sector One.
Brig. Gen. Mbuusi takes control of Sector One, which is under the supervision of the Uganda People’s Defense Force (UPDF).
He took charge of the unit on Friday, December 22.
Previously, Sector One had been under the leadership of Brig. Gen. Peter Gaetano Omola whose tour of duty is now over.
While taking over, Brig. Gen. Mbuusi commended the previous leadership for an excellent job.
He pledged to uphold the high standards and diligent work that the outgoing leadership had demonstrated during their time in charge of the sector.
