The Somali National Army (SNA) has a new commander.
Brig. Gen. Ibrahim Sheikh Muhiyadin takes over the mantle with immediate effect.
He replaces Brig. Gen. Odawaa Yusuf Rageh.
The Somali Cabinet has already announced Brig. Gen. Muhiyadin as Brig. Gen. Rageh’s replacement.
Both announcements took place on Monday.
Prior to this appointment, Brig. Gen. Muhiyadin has served as the Commander of the Presidential Guards.
