British Ambassador Visits Puntland for Meeting with Deni

The British Ambassador to Somalia visited the regional state of Puntland for a meeting with President Said Abdullahi Deni.

Ambassador Mike Nithavrianakis was in Garowe earlier this week for the meeting.

He held discussions on wide-ranging matters with President Deni.

Ambassador Nithavrianakis also held talks with civil society actors as well as officials of the Puntland Electoral Commission (PEC).

The Ambassador said that the visit reaffirmed the strong partnership between Puntland and the UK.

He commended Deni for appointing three women into his regional cabinet too.
