Burao’s state-run hospital received an ambulance as a donation from a local firm known as Ali Gadhle.
The donation was handed over by the firm owner’s son, Liban Ali Gadhle.
Mohamed Abdilahi Ibrahim, the Deputy Governor of Togder, was on hand to receive the donation that will help the local hospital.
Ibrahim thanked Gadhle for the gesture, which he said is the company’s way of giving something back to the community.
Authorities in charge of the local hospital also expressed their gratitude to the firm for making the generous donation that would go a long way to improving the services.
Ali Gadhle made the donation in response to the pleas that the hospital has repeatedly made regarding the lack of ambulances.
Meanwhile, Mohamed Saed Du’ale, who founded a local firm known as Dahabshiil, promised to donate yet another ambulance soon.
