The Council of the Cabinet has approved improved cooperation between Somalia and Turkey.
This week, the cabinet held its weekly meeting at Villa Somalia under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister Salah Jama.
The meeting, which took place on Thursday, September 15, approved the various areas where Somalia seeks improved cooperation with Turkey.
Specifically, the areas highlighted for improved relations include military training.
Other areas include health and sharing intelligence.
Already, Turkey has made several investments in different sectors in Somalia. It also trains a large portion of the East African nation’s military and security personnel.
