The Council of Ministers has approved Somalia’s tobacco control framework.
Meeting on Thursday under the leadership of President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, the Cabinet threw its weight behind the Framework Convention for Tobacco Control.
The Ministry of Health welcomed the move.
In its statement, the ministry called the approval by the cabinet a significant milestone in the government’s attempt to control the use of tobacco in the East African nation.
