A car bomb explosion was reported outside the headquarters of the Federal Parliament in Mogadishu.
The explosion occurred on February 13.
Several eyewitnesses reliably informed the media that the early Saturday morning explosion was exceedingly powerful.
According to sources, the incident occurred when a car laden with explosives and parked outside parliament’s building exploded at 9am.
The car had parked by the main security checkpoint.
Parliament’s building is around Sayidka Junction in the nation’s capital.
Police suspect that a Vehicle-Borne Improvised Explosive Device (VBIED) was involved in the explosive incident.
Security agents have cordoned off the area while ambulances have been deployed to the site to rush the injured to hospital for medical attention.
