The Central of Somalia (CBS) has licensed SomLink to provide mobile money services in the country.
CBS issued SomLink with the mobile money license on March 6.
Consequently, SomLink now becomes the third firm in Somalia to receive license to provide this critical service.
CBS has now licensed three firms since 2021.
Senior CBS officials attended the licensing ceremony on Sunday. Mohamoud Hayir Ibrahim, the State Minister of Finance, attended the function too.
