The Central Bank of Somalia (CBS) has called for the printing of new banknotes.
CBS made this call on Wednesday during a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre in Mogadishu.
The meeting was to help participants to discuss the eradication of poverty.
Participants also met to discuss strategies for achieving economic self-sufficiency.
During the meeting, the federal Minister of Finance briefed his colleagues in the government on the 2023 national budget.
