Central Bank of Somalia’s BOD Approves 2020 Financial Stateme

The Board of Directors (BOD) of the Central Bank of Somalia (CBS) has approved the 2020 financial statements.

According to the directors, the 2020 financial statements have now attained “unqualified opinion status.”

Deloitte, which is the CBS’ external auditor, audited those statements.

As per the contents of a letter from CBS, its board approved the financial statements on February 3.

Deloitte has declared the CBS financial statements “free of any misrepresentations.”

Furthermore, the international auditing firm also declared that CBS had maintained those statements according to International Accounting Standards (IAS).

Abdirahman M. Abdullahi, the CBS Governor, expressed his delight at the clearance from Deloitte and the institution’s board of directors.

Abdullahi stated that the “unqualified opinion status” statements have improved public trust towards the Central Bank.
