An airstrike in central Somalia left 46 militants dead.
The airstrike, which took place on Monday, was part of the operations by Somali National Army (SNA) to free the region of the presence of Al-Shabaab militants.
According to insiders, the airstrike targeted Jeh Jeha, which is to the south of the Mudug region.
One of the local officials stated that the operation was undertaken in a place where Al-Shabaab militants had gathered.
At the time of the operation, the militants were planning to attack a nearby army base.
