Authorities have confirmed that the Chairman of the Southwest Cultural Council passed away on Wednesday, March 17.
According to reports from the region, Malaq Hassan Shure Mohamud, died mid this week.
The cause of his death remains unknown.
Former Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire eulogized Shure.
Khaire extended his condolences to not only the people of Somalia but also the Southwest community specifically for this death.
He sympathized with Shure’s family, friends, and the entire cultural community too.
