Chief Justice Adam Haji Ali met with Stuart Brown, UK’s Head of Mission to Somaliland, to discuss judicial reforms in the country.
Brown paid a courtesy call to the Supreme Court in Hargeisa where he held fruitful discussions with the Chief Justice.
Brown and Chief Justice Ali discussed ways of boosting ties between their two nations.
UK’s Head of Mission pledged more assistance and support from the United Kingdom to Somaliland, especially for the judicial sector.
On his part, the Chief Justice reassured Brown of Somaliland’s commitment to reforming its judiciary for the benefit of all who seek justice.
He also applauded the UK for the Information Technology support offered to the judiciary in Somaliland that has enabled it to computerize the dispensation of justice.
Judges are now able to handle court cases more efficiently since the UK handed over several servers to the judiciary.
