China and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) have pledged to work together closely to address the humanitarian crisis in Somalia.
This follows a meeting between Ambassador Fei Shengchao and Niyi Ojuolape.
Shengchao is the Chinese Ambassador to Somalia. On the other hand, Ojuolape is UNFPA Representative in Somalia.
They discussed strengthening of relations and cooperation between China and UNFPA in the East African nation.
Specifically, they pledged to help Somalia to address the humanitarian crisis that affects women and youth in the country.
Ambassador Shengchao and Ojuolape met in Mogadishu on Sunday, December 18.
